"Ryan's Adventure in the Rainforest" by Ryan
Oh no! I have to get out of here! My name is Ryan. My parents and I were flying to Ecuador. Suddenly, our plane ran out of fuel. I looked out of my window. We were getting close to the water! I went under my seat and I grabbed the life vest. I unfolded the life vest and blew it up. I ran for the exit and went down the slide. I splashed into the water. When I came up to the surface, I realized I was separated from my parents! I swam to shore as fast as I could.
When I reached land I tried to catch my breath. I heard loud macaws chirping over my head. I heard my stomach growling like a monster. I saw humongous trees with liana vines hanging on the branches. I saw fresh juicy mangos hanging from the trees. I saw monkeys swinging from tree to tree.
My stomach was growling so hard I knew I had to get food. I made a bow and arrow and killed a boar. I got some sticks and rubbed them together. I made a fire. I took some stones and sticks. I put them around the fire. Then I took the meat and put it on the stick. I cooked the meat for half an hour. For the first time I ate boar. I liked it. Then I got a stick from the ground and I sliced open a coconut. I slurped the fresh sweet coconut water. I got shelter by collecting sticks, logs, big leaves, and mud. I put the logs and sticks together. Then I put leaves on the logs. I made a hut that I could sleep in. After a long night, I went to bed.
The next day, I walked around to find food and more water. When I got to my favorite mango tree, I heard a growl.
“AHHHHHHHH!!”
Grrrr
“Hi boy! Don’t hurt me. We can be friends. You like meat? Yes?’’ I grabbed my backpack and unzipped it. I gave the leftover boar to him.
All of a sudden, I heard a really loud noise. I looked at the sky. There was a S.O.S helicopter. I’m finally going home! The helicopter landed and my parents came running out. I gave them a big hug.
“Let’s go home now, Ryan!’’said my mom.
“Wait a minute, mom.’’ I said. I ran over to my jaguar and I said bye. Then we went on the helicopter back home!
