"The Dolphin and a Boy" by Lee
I was on a train. Boom! A meteor hit the train. I started panicking! I screamed! I hid behind this big strong man to avoid getting hit by other flying pieces. The strong man and I both got hit by the second meteor. We were blasted to the Amazon Rainforest! Good thing he was in front of me so I didn’t die. I screamed, “I’m in the Amazon Rainforest!”
I walked around to see what the Amazon Rainforest was like. I felt the crunchy leaves under my feet. I also felt the sweat on my head and raindrops on my clothes. I saw snakes, jaguars, iguanas, toucans, sloths, vines, parrots, and macaws. I saw steam misting behind the trees. I also heard howler monkeys howling and screaming.
I was starving. I saw coconuts and cocoa beans high up in the trees. I climbed up a tree, but a macaw swiped at me and I fell! I hurt my foot. I used leaves as a cast. I shook the tree and got coconuts. I hit a coconut with a rock. It made a dent so I kept doing it. It finally opened. I drank it. It tasted like cold milk with sugar. It was very sweet and refreshing. I was tired and I got sticks to build a little tent. I used leaves as a pillow and I went to bed.
I woke up and I was so thirsty. I went to the river to drink water. A river dolphin bopped me on the head. I fell into the water. He scratched me and I scratched him back. We played a lot and we became friends. I named him Bob. He was the best dolphin ever.
I said, “Take me to New York City!”
Bob zoomed! We dodged rocks. He jumped in and out of the water. I held on for dear life! By the time I got to Mexico, I saw a boat that was going to New York City. I asked Bob to drop me off at the boat. So he did. “Bye Bob!”
Bob screeched, “Eawww eawww”.
When I got to New York City, I took a train to my house. I was so happy to be home!
